Etzinger etzMAX PLUS customer review 2026

this model etzMAX P or Plus (GbW with cooling) was launched at the end of 2017/18, and has a 275W motor with a complete aluminium body. What makes this grinder stand out is the cooling feature that ensures the beans remain at a low temperature whilst under constant grinding in cafes etc.

Etzinger’s **etzJet** grinding mechanism puts a new spin on the classic conical burr setup. The cone burr remains static in the centre while the motor-powered ring burrs rotate around it, rather than the other way around, ensuring coffee grounds fall axially out of the grinder and into the portafilter.

This groundbreaking grinder merges grind by weight technology with Acaia scale technology, delivering spot-on espresso doses for your enterprise.

Powered by proprietary software that tares the scale hundreds of times per second, the etzMAX Plus assures remarkable accuracy with every shot.

The Grind by Weight (GbW) technology eliminates any guesswork, providing you with the precise amount of coffee each time, saving time, money, and guaranteeing a top-notch quality espresso.

here's a worthy review of the etzMAX 32mm burrs:

David Schomer states: 'He is turning a small conical burr (32mm) fast enough to grind about 4g/second. All my experience with conical grinders would predict a very thin, watery extraction. (Maybe 40% of the efficiency of our DRM’s) However, because he applied the motor to the female burr the flavor intensity and crema viscosity are much better than they should be. (Maybe up to 80% of our espresso from the DRM’s) I find this quite remarkable.'

just to state that the new '**XP** burr' is not compatible with the etzMAX Plus, only the **X** model!

The **Plus** model comes with the **AP** (All Purpose) burr!

if you do look at purchasing this Plus model, ensure that it has the new metal burr holder installed, as the older original holder was plastic (on the right of the picture), and wore out after a time…

from 2021, they upgraded all grinders with the metal burr holder!
